About the Project
The twelve episodes here illustrate selected episodes of The Engines of Our Ingenuity, the long-running radio program by University of Houston professor John Lienhard. Bernard's graduate students in the Instructional Technology program built multimedia interpretations of Lienhard's scripts — using photographs, drawings, works of art, animations, and video clips — as coursework for the program, all dealing with the theme of hoaxes.
The project was created by ten graduate students: Sandra Castillon, Diane Fanning, Richard Halpin, Jahnette Harrell, Elizabeth Heil, Anita Knutson, Valerie Lawhorn, Julie Powell, Anne Rudnicki, and Stacey Wiggins.
